I ultimately decided on the Oiled Leather Soft Footbed Bostons in Habana and Iron. The beautifully finished leather is substantial and the colors are gorgeous. I never wore Birkenstock sandals until I lived in Germany; now I have these fabulous clogs to add to my collection! Perfect fit right out of the box. Excellent in every way.
I vacillated between these and the suede Bostons. In the end, I chose the oil leather because I thought that they would be more durable over time. I absolutely love them. The leather is absolutely beautiful. Another reason I chose the oiled leather over suede was because I thought the suede ones looked kind of like slippers and I wanted a more shoe look. I'm delighted with them.
The quality, color, and soft footbed make these a lifelong staple in my closet! Also, the narrow width are much better than the regular width for my normal feet, where I typically don't need to order special sizing, but my regular Arizona sandals are a bit wide, so the narrow width on the Boston are perfect! I will be wearing these for years!
These are so comfortable!
I have owned this shoe for work since about 2001. Wear them almost daily and every year I need a new pair due to the amount of wear that I do. Highly recommend. Switch colors due to new uniform and they look great.
