First time wearing them I found myself at a reception and was standing for the next 3 hours in them. Now I've got real problems standing for more than about 10 minutes due to lower back issues, but I somehow managed to go the distance with these shoes without a problem. I'll bet they're just as good going long distances too. Fully endorsed!

There is ample amounts of heel and arch support making them comfortable to wear all day. Run true to size.

After two months of daily wear, I wanted to write this review to share that these are the best, most versatile shoes I have ever owned. I traveled for two months overseas and needed to pack light, so I sought out shoes that I could wear daily for intensive city walking, business meetings, evenings out, and to (unfortunately) a funeral. I also needed shoes that could handle rain and winter weather. I had always taken both running shoes and dress shoes for travel, but wanted to see if one pair of shoes could handle everything. Long story short - the Amberjack Original Classic was the perfect choice and I was thrilled with the comfort, fit, durability, and styling. The shoes fit well and were comfortable right out of the box, but took about two days to soften up a little and to get the leather and lacing perfect. They were every bit as comfortable as running shoes had been for days of 20,000 steps or more, and after a couple of days were even better than running shoes because of the insole and support. They also handled rainy cold days much better than running shoes can. As for the styling, I opted for the Original Classic because it seemed like it could be "dressed down" for casual wear and also work for business - and they certainly handled both. They were also very durable and easy to clean after a muddy walk outside, and still look great after two months of daily wear. I am so glad I have found these shoes, and purchased another pair of Amberjacks as well.

Most comfortable shoes I own. I've been wearing them for the last few weeks walking around New York City and was very impressed. Break in time was almost immediate but every day I wear them themselves better. I have a high instep but the padding under the tongue helps. Highly recommended.

I have difficulty finding shoes that have just the right amount of width in a wide size and certainly is difficult to find half sizes above 12 these days. The color is beautiful. The materials are extraordinary in the fit is sublime.. Well, worth the extra money spent to be comfortable and stylish. They truly live up to the hype.

I wear a large arch support. I have tried on at least 50 shoes. The original fits perfectly, provides good support (rare these days), and look great. The search was worth it.

These are by far the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever owned. I wish I had started wearing these years ago and saved my feet from the punishment of wearing other dress shoes. I thought I was going to have to start wearing "old man shoes" until I found these. These look as good or better than most other dress shoes. They would be worth getting just based on looks, but what really sets them apart is how comfortable they are.

I was hesitant to purchase a shoe online that I had never tried out, but I am very pleased. The leather is soft and the shoe is so incredibly comfortable. The fit is a bit big to my shoe size, but it fits great. Love the shoe and the feel of how my feet are at the end of a long day in the office. I'm a customer for life now.

I was able to try on The Original at a small local store to verify my size, but they did not carry The Classic. I needed them quickly so I did expedited shipping, and was able to wear them a few times before an 11-day trip to Europe. Almost every day I put 4-5 miles on them. My regular "smart casual" shoe is an Allen Edmonds "Nomad" which I carried as a backup in case The Classic got wet. There was almost no break-in required (I did have a minor hot spot under one tongue). I noticed The Classic is just a tad longer than my Nomads, perhaps because of the lining, but the fit was spot-on. Buy with confidence!

I did find light scratch marks on the top section of but shoes. Should be able to buff them out, but otherwise they look fine.

Needed some new dress shoes for an event. Searched online for comfortable dress shoes and Amberjack kept popping up. I checked Amberjack website and found just the right shoes. The price was good and with free returns felt I had nothing to lose in purchasing. The shoes shipped fast and were comfortable right out of the box. Was so pleased with these shoes I later purchased a pair of their boots.

These are great shoes. They look just like dress shoes and are much lighter than I was expecting- which is ideal for working long shifts. I have been dealing with sciatica for 8 months now and work in the service industry. These shoes have helped a lot reducing pain from being on my feet 7-9 hours a day. I do recommend them.

Have not had the chance to wear the shoes but the purchase experience was one of the best for an online shop. Most reviews said the shoes ran true to size so I ordered my normal size. They were too small and amberjack recommended moving up a half size, so I did. They too were small and they recommended another half size up. Now I'm a full size over but they fit well and feel very comfortable. The exchanges were super simple and completely hassle free. Plus they matched the 2-day shipping for both exchanges making the 'fitting process' super quick. Looking forward to breaking them in and ordering my next pair in my new 'amberjack size.'

Due to no fault of yours my shoes arrived several months late due to a dock strike in Portugal causing me not to be able to wear them to a wedding for which I purchased these shoes more. I had to wear my old heavy JM dress shoes from my days as a federal agent and my feet hurt all over again. The shoes are so comfortable and look great!!

This is my fifth pair of Amberjack shoes, and that's not because they wear out—it's because they don't. My job requires a lot of walking around the city, and these shoes consistently hold up where most "dressy-but-comfortable" shoes fall apart. They're extremely well made, with quality materials that age well over time, and they still look sharp enough for professional settings. Comfort is excellent right out of the box, and they stay supportive even after long days on my feet. I've rotated through multiple pairs over the years, and durability has never been an issue. My only real wish is more variety in wide styles. The wide options that do exist are great, but expanding that lineup would make these shoes close to perfect for people who need a bit more room.

Love my new shoes! They look great! They're comfortable! Workmanship is top notch! They do run a little small in both width and length. I normally wear a 9 1/2 medium but had to return first pair for a 10 1/2 wide. Happy with my purchase!!

Customer service was absolutely fantastic! The shoes did not arrive in time to be given as a Christmas gift. I was able to easily adjust the delivery to my son's address so I did not have to mail them once they would have arrived at my house. I was still kept up to date on shipping and arrival. To my knowledge the shoes fit well and are being put to good use.

Customer service got back to me within minutes and within an hour had sent me a pair of wides on the premise that I've returned the originals within 10 days. Return was simple amberjack emailed me a QR code to scan and I was able to return them free of charge. I received my replacement pair just a few days later. These are by far my favorite pair of dress shoes, and certainly my nicest and most comfortable. I'm very pleased and I fully intend to purchase more products from this company in the future. Great shoes - high quality and super comfortable! Leather upper is very nice, insole is ridiculously comfortable, and the padded tongue is a nice touch for extended comfortable wear. Purchased these as a uniform shoe and they fit the bill perfectly. Sizes run true to size, even with the wide. Have only had a few weeks, so can't speak to longevity; but based on the quality, I don't expect that to be an issue. Overall, I think they are worth the somewhat steep price point based on comfort alone.

Amberjack shoes are, without question, the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! This was an elevated purchase, worth every dollar! This is my second pair (different colors, not worn out) and I am getting my third pair.

They were purchased as a gift for my 27 year old nephew who is difficult to buy for. He took them out of the box an immediately liked them. He was impresed by the look and quality of the leather. He did not ask me to send them back, a huge win! He doesn't care about brands, but does appreciate quality and comfort.

Large feet are a challenge, hit or miss. Shoe is a little loose in the heel, acceptable though. Way too tight in front but there is room in the toes are forward.
